The IWA Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2019 took place from 1st to 5th December 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This event brought together over 3000 global practitioners, utility managers, government officials, NGO representatives, technology providers, consultants and media. Over 100 exhibitors participated. The IWA WDCE2019 focused on aspects such as political & social engagement, capacity building of water operators in the region, climate change adaption.
The WDCE2019 in Colombo was a follow up of previous editions that took place in e.g. Mexico City (2009), Kuala Lumpur (2011), Nairobi (2013) and Jordan, Dead Sea area (2015). The 2017 edition was held in Argentina and Match+ was responsible for the full set up and management of the Exhibition component, as well as the integration of this in the entire event.
